Students performed a 3-exercise circuit-training workout today.  Students are dressing out tomorrow and will perform another circuit-training workout.

Classes were held in the school library today.  Students visited the Mayo Clinic website to begin learning about Diabetes.  Students recorded notes and will take an open-notes quiz on Friday.

Students recorded the definition of "Circuit Training" in their paper notebook.  Afterwards, students watched or participated in a demonstration of a 3-exercise 15-second circuit-training workout.  Students were then put into groups of three based upon gender and strength.  Students recorded the members of their group on a piece of paper and turned it in to the teacher.

Due to inclement weather and low student attendance, classes were held in the gym today and students did not dress out.  If classes resume tomorrow, students should be prepared to dress out.

Students learned about the 5 types of physical activities today in class.  Students took notes on a table drawn on their own paper before participating in a game of charades where students applied their knowledge of the types of physical activity to the game.  Students completed a crossword puzzle at the end of class.

Students took a quiz (Quiz #2) over health risk factors and the three parts of a workout today.  Next, students took notes on the FITT formula and created an Activity Plan using the FITT formula.

Students dressed out today and participated in a proper warm-up for class.  Students then learned the purpose of a proper cool-down before learning how to perform various stretching exercises.

Students will dress out again tomorrow and will learn about the parts of a workout.

Students took a quiz today over the video lesson on our class website that they were supposed to listen to and take notes from over the weekend.  Students participated in a short group activity where they created a poster with key notes/ideas for a major health risk factor and then each group presented their poster to the class.  Students recorded key notes/ideas on a table provided by the teacher.  Students are to dress out tomorrow, Wednesday, and Thursday of this week.
